Getting a shop built...

I am looking at space and I have come to the conclusion that a shop the size you are talking about is about the minimum size so that you can keep the stuff that has the potential to go BOOM far enough away from the stuff that goes bang, clang, bubble, squeak, whir and hiss and still have room to work.:D

After working in a 12 X 12 building, it will be heavenly. :D
I like to tell people my workshop is 20,736 square inches. It sounds bigger. :D

I like your way of thinking Phillip. Because of you, my shop just grew in size from 192 square feet to 27,648 square inches! Or hey, even better, since I have 9 foot ceilings, I have a shop with 2,985,984 cubic inches!!!! Yeeeeeeee hawwwwww!!

Now I am a rich man, ta de da de da de da de da de da de da dummmmm! :D

Come on everybody, sing along with me.

A little wacky sometimes!

Well, guys, it looks like I'm going to get a 32 X 48 foot building. Construction begins early November.

AHHHHHHHHHH...YOU SUCK!!!!!;):D So you will be able to forge knives AND have the occasional pick-up basketball game too, eh?

with that much space you could have one corner for grinding, one for forging, one for sheaths and finish work and one for a chocolate fountain!

Heh heh. Actually, one reason I wanted a bigger building is so I can host mini hammer-ins. There's only room in my current shop for a family of mice to watch me forge. :D

Chocolate fountain. Now that's a good idea.:cool:
I'm eventually going to have a part of the shop walled and insulated, for my finishing room.
