Getting back into knife making. Trying out the new heat treat oven

Here's a short video of me pulling out a 440C knife out of oven at 1980F and plate quenching. Kind of amazing that you can lay a piece of 1980F steel on a piece of aluminum and not melt the aluminum. I understand how it works it's still kind of neat lol.
