Getting bit by a Busse

the front of the choil on a nmsfno bit me slightly my waki tried to bite off several fingers. it did not end up being all that bad (not even tendon damage) but it took hours to completely stem the bleeding.

I did end up using super glue on two of the fingers and they healed very well.

I've been cut by every single knife I own at one point or another. They all stung, and some of those cuts were deep, and took a long time to stop bleeding.

A knife never really gives itself to you until it tastes your blood. Then it is yours, forever.

The only times I have been bitten were when I was doing something really stupid like not paying attention to what I was doing. ;)

Although I got cut pretty good once when I was waxing the blades on my Khurkies, the blade cut right through the thick rag I was using and bit me.

I don't get cut very often because I am extremely careful knowing that if I do cut myself it will be very bad due to the edges I put on my blades.

I posted this almost a week ago...

Well, it's been awhile since the last Busse tasted my blood, but one of my Tank Busters just graduated to the Do Not Sell list and put a smile on my face... Yes, it gets twice the love now, as it now has a permanent home AND will get to be a user! It's really not much of a bite, but I was checking the edge with a piece of paper and just barely caught the hand holding the piece right below the knuckle.

Here's the feisty TB after the love bite...

Sorry, I cleaned the edge already, but I know the rules!!! Here's the "wound". Really, it's extremely minor...

Anyone who wants to tell me how dull Busse knives are can eat it. ;) This TB cut a small scallop out so cleanly, that I can't find the skin it nipped and I'm still feelin' nothing! Actually, I'm really not sure that the TB actually tasted blood as it took about 15 seconds after to start bleeding...But it still earned a spot in the permanent user collection! :D...snip

...And this also was a factory sharpened edge straight from Busse!
INFI has to taste it's owner...

it's a spiritual experience.

:D

Agreed!! ;)

This is from my CGFBM glancing off a downed tree I was limbing a couple of years ago. Not really that bad, but it was right on the shin bone. I've still got a dent there.

My kitchen Culti has bitten me a few times.

And then there was the time when my comp edged SarSquatchie bit me cleaning tree sap off the blade.
That was a nasty one. :o

.

Da# Greg that looks pretty bad  from here. Just make sure next time to keep your limbs away from the other limbs you intend to cut.

I got bit by my FFBM today. :o I was using my blade to cut some fabric earlier and had it laying on my table were I was doing my work. I had laid it down on the table and got up to do something. Coming back to the table I did not realize that the tip of my Busse was barely off the edge of the table. When I went to sit down my thumb just grazed the tip and....zip....opened the top-side of my thumb right up. About 1/4 inch deep! Unreal. And this is just the original sharpness. I could not imagine if it was even sharper. I have the wound wrapped up good and the bleeding has stopped.

This got me to thinking how many of you have gotten bitten (accidently of course) buy your own Busse (or someone elses) and how bad was it?

I didn't see any pictures of your wound. Did you not take any pictures of your wound?? That's not good...;)

I have not been bit by one of my Busses and it's been at least 22 years since I've been bit at all. That was me trying to remove a zip tie from a bicycle with a sword. The sword went through half my index finger tip exposing all that fatty pad junk beneath the skin. Sorry, I didn't own a camera at the time so no pics :D

:DCould you zoom that a lil bit Guyon? I can't see anything but a paper cut:D
Where's that guy that sliced the crap outta his hand when trying to drill out the bolts on a Busse without clamping the blade? I wanna see those pics again. THAT was a nasty wound:thumbup::thumbup:

I haven't only because I am unable to find the USB cord that connects to my camera. But I am still trying....:(

I cut my self with my FMBLE with a hair popping sharp edge. Got some stitches.

worst stitches I have ever had administered. The doctor had the shakes (old) and poked the the local all the way through the finger, several times, before he decided to give the stitches without any local. Then he kept missing with the stitch needle. He gave me three stitches where there was no cut. The stitches he did give tore out the next morning, because there not enough. You can see the holes where the two ripped thorough.

not my worst, but the only one from infi that required stitches.
