Getting into Beckers anyone else have an uncontrollable urge for more

Fairly new to Beckers OK have had 1 BK14 Proto for only a day and I want or should I say need a BK9, this Forum is awesome with all the member Mods already have in mind what I want to do to the King but almost like I am addicted as I need more like a drug maybe that is what Ethan had in mind. Anyway thanks for all the threads as they have helped this newbie Beckerhead get a lot of great Idea's and examples of what can be done just look at Warrior or cliche or oh well the list could go for a long time just wanted to say thanks for all the Mods and threads you guys and gals share.

Yep, its addicting for sure. I did exactly the same thing. Got a BK14, got infected and started selling off other brands to buy more Beckers. I don't regret it one bit. :)
 
I totally know the feeling. I started off with a BK-10LE or two and then an 11CSM and haven't looked back.
 
It is hard to stop! Have two more waiting in the mail at home right now, as a matter of fact. :)
 
Yes this is getting the best of me I guess I will just go with it and now to get a fix I think a BK9 will hold me for awhile
 
9 is a great choice. You will still be surprised how fast you start picking out the next one.

Thanks B.Mauser I am thinking of just putting a list together and sending off to Moose but if I get to many to quick I am afraid I will have to go to some sort of Becker Rehab

B.Mauser -- More than a little work went into that 9 of yours! Nice and shiny. Who made the kydex for it? (sorry for the brief derail)
 
i know the feeling too. i am done. no more buying for a while. i.. have.... to...resist.... the... urge... :) for real though. lol

Everything made under the Becker name is great, so I do have a problem with buying them. If I find a good deal, I'm all over it. In the past couple of weeks I've added the BK5 and BK2 to my collection and don't regret it one bit. Of the current production, all I'm missing is the BK11 and BK4. I'm sure by the end of the year, that will change.
 
I was like that, then I got the perfect spread for my needs and felt satisfied. I've been getting order-happy on flashlights lately. Got a 500 lumen Lighthound 18650 Tactical light the other day, and the UPS man just dropped off my TK-35. As soon as it gets dark, I shall unleash it in all its 820-lumen glory....

It is addicting. The 9 is a beast, you'll love it.
 
haah nutoknives, knowing you from the KA-BAR forum I'm thinking you might just perhaps be a nut for knives :)

I too have the urge to have the whole line, but a while back I realized I was buying knives while my already-owned knives were sitting on a shelf. So I'm on a buying hiatus for a year, and concentrating on using the ones I have. It's not easy, but it's harder watching nice toys collecting dust.
 
Ya, I actually now hide money from the wife to buy Beckers, LoL. I buy other knives as well, but there is something about the Becker Culture that is fun and addicting.

Good to see you yes the Ka-Bar knives have had me busy for awhile almost done just got the Albermarle 1 of 85 waiting 2 years but as long as you are patient the knives have a way of coming, same as my grail buck 1972 112 with micarta scales NIB took 1 1/2 years so when I started looking at the Beckers I wanted 1 safe Queen and got lucky and found a proto BK14 now I can get some users and abusers the guys and gals here do some awesome Mods that have helped me decide what I want to do to the King it will take time but it will be sick, as far as collecting dust many of mine are collectors hence I am here to get the users. The way I am going about it now is letting go of some and buying the one's I plan on using hey who am I kidding I like many knife manufacturers and styles as far as the money Busheagle what I have is a knife account with the proceeds from sales going to my new purchases this way wifey has nothing to say especially since I am getting her OK with the amount of knives she carries the Ka-bar Little Lil ladies leg ornate with a 3 1/2" razor sharp blade. This Beckeridis I have will probably get the best of me but I know it is something I will have a lot of fun trying to get my FIXXXX.Best wishes BRL and hopefully your not breaking anymore heavy bowies see you around the forum

Addicted to BK&T steel ? So what. There is a lot of worse things you could be addicted to. LOL :D
 
Yes there are a lot worse things to be addicted to but feeling like I need a fix already so hunting a BK9 to help with my Beckeridis then onto the Mod

Yeah, I'm building a pretty good collection of BKs myself. Partly because I envision these "model specific" knife scenarios, and partly because so many folks post great photos here of their customizations. At some point I find my inner voice saying "you REALLY need another Becker, the ones you have just aren't enough." :D
