I spent the better part of my weekend organizing/rearranging MY side of the garage...LOL ! I made good progress and am just about ready to order my KMG grinder :)

OK you are going to need to double that space in 6 months......

would you like me to tell your wife, or are you going to do it ;0)

lol your half. When we moved into a house my wife was all happy "I will be able to pull into the garage at night" I started laughing.....Told her the spare room was her "office" so the garage was going to hold my classic truck and my work space.

Got to put the foot down.

^^ LOL ! .....One good thing about about knifemaking is that it can be done in a VERY small space compared to my amplifier & woodworking hobby ! I will have more than enough room for knife making. I have everything all laid out and organized well I think. I am a "neat freak" by nature so I spend as much time organizing and cleaning as I do actual work....LOL !

That may be one of the cleanest amp wiring jobs I've ever seen. Mine look nothing like that, but they work :).

The space looks good, can I come over to your place and make some knives? Just kidding of course :) But no kidding, my space is pretty dirty with steel/metal dust everywhere, except where you walk, stand, or actually work on knives. Getting the stuff out of all the nooks and crannys I gave up on a long time ago. Hope your wife does not mind the dust generated from knife making, ah..... but maybe you have not told her yet?!

Best of luck with the new shop/garage set up, looks good!

Thanks for the compliment. I am a neat freak by nature and VERY meticulous. I had a seasoned knife maker tell me that I need lots of patience to make knives. I showed him some of my amp builds and asked him if that is what he means by patience....LOL ! Trust me.....making knives will not be remotely as tedious as amplifier circuit design and building. It will be a nice break for me actually :)

it's been a while since my last update. I have been quite busy over the last few weeks setting up my shop space. My KMG arrived last week and I welded a bigger tool rest plate on it. I have bought a few new toys and built a few things. I finished up my Knife vise and router table this afternoon....enjoy the pics :)

Your work space is really looking nice with some sweet tools I would love to have. We are in the process of building our new house and cant wait to get the garage area mapped out with where I want my work space, before my other half claims the space for her stuff. Hopefully I can win that battle.
