Getting ready for mountain biking

man, i love the looks of that bike Jake... i wish you could bring it out to Cali..

haha.. i rode a single speed for amy years and would probably still be riding one, if i hadn't had multiple knee surgeries...:( grrrrrr... i was forced to add gears, so now i ride an 8 speed..:D

here she is... she's like an overgrown BMX bike, that just loves to go fast downhill...:)

Thanks Mike... I wish I could bring it too. I just suggested it to Tina, and she gave me a rather.....uh....welll not so friendly look. haha.. :foot:

Dude I love your Chameleon. I came really close to gettin one of those. It was used, on craigslist. When I looked at it, it had a cracked headtube. :grumpy:

Ah well.....

Dude an overgrown BMX bike is a great descrip. Mine feels like one too. Maybe someday you can travel here and hit the trails on my Surly. There really is some good riding here if you know where to go.

Where was that pic taken?? I wanna ride there!!!

haha.. i know how those looks are man...:o oh well.. i'm sure i'll be able to find you a bike to ride no problem..

these Chameleon's are bad a$$... i love mine... i got on a crazy good deal too..the angle of the top tube on these really lends itself well to to downhilling and jumping, and the short stem i have on mine gives it some really nice handling...

this pic was taken last June in Mammoth Lakes... that is Mammoth mountain in the background, which 11,053 in eleavtion.... the place is amazing.. there is so much good riding out there... i think the town of Mammoth Lakes sits at around 8,000 ft. in elevation, and this trail was pretty high above town, so breathing was rather difficult...

Ah...Mammoth.....what a cool place.

Dirt time in Cali might be the first of 2010 for me....That would be great. I really wanna ride Wilder Ranch. Ive always wanted to check that place out.

I bet that SC is a dirt jumper man....Has the right look for it. I just put a new saddle on the Surly. A downhill specific Fizik. Nice seat.

If we can get you a bike, and you're willing to use a day or two of your vacation, we'll definitely have to get you on a ride or two. Mike's got some good trails right outside his door, and wilder is real close to were you'll be staying in Santa Cruz, and there's also Nicene Marks, etc...

Maybe we can get the ladies to have a girls day one day so we can sneak out.

P.S. check your email.

ive always wanted to. i hopefully can get in better shape and maybe in the next year or two get something together.

Enjoy that GF bro....I saw a Gary fisher singlespeed last summer in a bike shop in KC. Some dude owned it and rode it there for something. Dunno if it was a factory GF Singlespeed or a convert. It was a really cool flat black color, with annod blue components. I loved that bike, and took alot of inspiration from it building my Surly.

Post pics when ya get her home!!
