Buying the S30V Military TODAY!!! I just got paid and I'm going for the best. I'm gonna get my spyderco Military today and I can't wait!!!:D Looking forward to beating it up and reviewing it (not really, it'll be my new...*looks left and right*...."precious").;)

I'll be sure to tell you guys what I think when I get it. In the meantime, feel free to leave any responses as to what you guys think about the military.

Congrats and enjoy. It's a good choice. Keep in mind the tip is very sharp by design and doesn't withstand prying, using as a screwdriver and other such misuses you MIGHT get away with on some other designs.

Great ergonomics, great steel, excellent liner lock design and an all around great knife.

I've got one in each steel made so far except the old ATS 34 model. That's how much I like them. Don't be afraid to use it to cut....lots of stuff. They last, and last, and last.....Joe

I've got the Military in BG-42 and S90V, your choice of S30V will be a winner too. I've got a lot of knives but the Military is the one in my right front pocket when I leave the estate (well very small estate).

That's the only Milie I have. You don't like ATS-34 or couldn't find one?
It is still in my EDC rotation. I've had it for.........8, 9 ?? years.
Works like a champ too.

B117, you can't go wrong with a selection like that.

I got the S30V Military and it's awsome!!! It's surprisingly light and very sturdy. Absolutely no blade play, and it's the sharpest thing I've ever owned, hands down. I can't wait to put it to use, and I'll probably end up with a collection of these just like the rest of you guys.

Spyderco all the way!!! My collection is growing. Thanks for the input guys, I'll be sure to re-post later on down the road about the performance. Keep on reviewing, it's good to hear so much positive stuff about such a great knife. Thanks again, J.

Congrats...you'll love it, quite the knife. Yeah, I guess I like mine so much that one wasn't enough:D

Hey IUKE12, does the D2 edge seem to last longer than the CPM S30V? I'm very familiar with the charts and stuff, but every company has Good and bad heat treats with particular steels.

I really like Benchmades D2, but how does the D2 military compare with the S30V? I'm hoping to get one in the future now that this one has "filled me up for now.":D

2 brothers, I've not run across one when I had the money in my pocket. Perhaps someday. :) I'm working on my Blur collection now. Just pre ordered the s60 model today in fact.

I figure when the time is right, I'll have the right millie fall in my hands. Sometimes it takes a few years, but I'm patient.

They are all users BTW. No safe queen millies for me, except for an extra BG42 model I put away as it is one of my top 5 all time knives of any brand/steel/handle etc. Joe

congrats for the purchase, I never leave home without my S30V millie

I have no real issues with the S30V, my S30V millie has been in service for a couple of years now and I have only needed to sharpen it twice. I haven't had the D2 millie long enough to get it to the point where I need to take it to the Sharpmaker yet:) I think it will edge out the S30v however, pun intended.
