I am taking a 4 day pass this weekend , and on the way down from hood i told the wife we are stopping at Beckwith's knives in houston, THE ONLY actual knife shop in all of houston! anyways, they have all kinds of salts in stock , and i am going to get one for sure, definitely a yellow handle of course!

this will be my first salt type, and being as my home is near galveston, this is not the last time it will be in the salt. it seems to me to be such an amazing piece of work to withstand all of that stuff, so i just have to get one.

will just be relaxing with the family, but will definitely bring it in the surf every time. i will write about it(even though it has been done before) next week.

i am looking forward to visiting a true knife shop, seeing as i have NEVER been to one in all of my life! they are very hard to find here. there prices are just a few bucks above the internet, but i have NO problem with that seeing as they have an actual store and all.

anyways, good weekend to all!

Harry and LC Beckwith are very good folks......:D
I've bought a number of knives from them in the past. They have an excellent selection of Spyderco's and other quality knives, their prices are quite reasonable, and they and their staff are VERY knowledgeable.
Enjoy your visit......:)

I recently moved to Houston and discovered Beckwith's Blades. It is a great place. The fact that it is on the same side of town (15min) away from my apartment is just a bonus. I would gladly drive further to visit the store. Their selection of Spydercos is as good as I have seen anywhere (except the Spyderco store in Golden :)).

Their staff is very knowledgeable and personable. I have spent more than a few hours in there handling different knives and talking to the staff. Any Spyderco fan in Houston or the surrounding area should defiantly make the trip over for a visit.
