Hi .. I hope I'm not being cocky by replying to one of your questions because I'm just a novice maker myself. As I'm just starting out and don't have any spare cash I have to search hard for bargains, which is particularly hard when most knife equipment is from the States and our Canadian dollar is worth only about .60 cents U.S.
Anyhow, there is an incredible 2x72 grinder
made up here by a company called BEE Metal Products Ltd. of Woodstock Ont. (about mid way between Detroit and Toronto on Hwy. 401) Ph. 1-519-537-8257.
To look at it is very similar to a Wilton Square Wheel. It might be worth considering what with the difference in the dollar and the free trade act, plus you might be able to work a deal by going direct to the factory and cutting out a dealers mark-up.
I know i sound like a salesman for this company but I'm just a dumb-ass-cop who got hooked on knife-making and wants to share some info with other new-comers.
All the best. Kraut
