I'm not new to knives by any means but after drooling over Busses for so long I have finally aquired a user in a trade. I can't even sleep waiting for it to get here. Someone help me out by letting me know how I can go about aquiring some more of these knives as I think I may have lost interest in other blades at this point.

Thanks guys.

Cruise the Busse exchange sub forum. The link is at the top of the Busse page.

What do you have coming in trade?

It is definitely an addiction.

Good stuff. I still like other makers, but strangely, I don't own any. Lots of great custom makers etc, but I seem to always lay the money down on another Busse.

Also, you can still order a Muck LE directly from Busse. The ganza only lasts 10 days, so I think there is a day or two left.

Thin, convex edge, full flat grind. No choil, lots of belly. Gonna be epic!

Also, you can directly order a Boss Jack either Combat Grade or LE (thinner saber grind), right now directly from Busse. That is a re release of a classic model with a few improvements (the are at the front of the handle has a bit more beef for a more comfortable grip).

It is a blessing and a curse right now for new infi. Way, and I mean way more being offered both directly, and on the exchange than at any time in the past. That also means Way more temptation, and "gotta Have it" syndrome!

Thanks for the tip on the Boss Jack. The user I have coming in is a Boss Street that has seen some serious use and will get alot more when it gets here. The Meaners, BADS and SARS look like they need to live with me as well.

I traded for my first Busse just a few months ago and now I have 6 so I know exactly what you are going through. My advice is to hang around here for a while before you jump in head first and start buying blades. If you look around and read a few threads you'll find that certain knives are mentioned over and over again when people talk about their favorite Busse's.

I agree with what the others said, even in the short time I have been looking through the exchange here the selection of great knives available has increased and the prices and very reasonable right now. Combine that with the MUK and Boss Jack that you can get straight from Busse and the the SAR 6 that is available at the company store and I don't think you could have picked a better time to get into Busse blades.

Be careful. They let anyone buy these knives as if they were 2007 mortgages :D. Might want to buy a canoe and a paddle just in case.

In addition to the Exchange here on blade forums, you can order directly from bussecombat.com (currently have the Boss Jack LE & CG for sale), bussecompanystore.com (check the site to see what is currently being offered).

There are also Ganzaa's here on the forum, as well as shows that Busse attends.

Good luck, and welcome to the madness....;)

Thanks Dan. The hardest part for me now is figuring what (short of my kid) I can get rid of as profitable work has not been kind in my neck of the woods for the past couple years.

You might start with the Avatar :D;)

Not gettin it ? I want to thank you guys for the welcome though, looks like I'm in good company.

I think he's saying that you can only take so much of a screaming Busey pic. That is just a guess though based off of the fact that it makes me want to slam my head into a wall. :foot:

You're not the first person to say that. :D

Just like everyone said, order directly from bussecombat.com for factory priced knives. If your close enough to the trade shows at Blade or Knob Creek you can pick up some great deals there or try to get a proxy to snag you one there.

The exchange has some pretty good deals right now for knives at factory or pretty close to factory prices.

Here are a couple of websites to get a idea of what the factory prices were on knives when they came out.

What lsheldon said, also once you get hooked on Busse's (Bus-see) it grates on your ears to even hear someone pronounce them as Busey (Bue-zee) or Boo-see which makes the pic even worse. :barf: Just sayin'. ;)

Edit: Oh, and congrats on the BOSS Street! A good chopper to go with that would be a great start. :)

BWM or Basic 11 can be had reasonable on the exchange -- good choppers there.
