Getting started

Welcome to the madness ;)

When you like the SAR series you can still order the SAR-6 from the company store: http://bussecompanystore.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PLST&Store_Code=BCS

Like the others said the Boss Jack is available here: http://bussecombat.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=BCKC&Category_Code=KNF

I'd try to get current offerings from these two sources before searching the exchange. Unless you get a seriously beaten user (like your BOSS Street) or a very unpupular model you usually pay a mark up on the exchange: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=804

However, also there you can find reasonably priced models like the B-11, DSSF and maybe other that I am not aware of.

Don't forget that BUSSE knifes are usually sold without sheath. So consider 50-100 USD per knife for a nice kydex or leather pants in your budget plans.

And now... get them all

Brennanscott, I'm kinda new also but I have a few under my belt-soon to be a lot more. My only advice to you is take your time looking around. There are so many models and sizes and some are more available than others (there are many models that can be very difficult or even impossible to find-so you have to consider that also when checking out prices). Be patient. After a while, you will get a hang of what is a great deal, and what is a fair deal and what is a not so good deal and you'll have a better idea of when to jump on a sale. Ordering directly from the shop will insure a good price but your choices will be limited because they don't keep alot of left over INFI stock laying around. keep your eye on the exchange as well- you will come across a steal or two if you just keep looking and waiting

It is a blessing and a curse right now for new infi. Way, and I mean way more being offered both directly, and on the exchange than at any time in the past. That also means Way more temptation, and "gotta Have it" syndrome!

well said B'f'.

...these are hard times for INFI addicts...:(...or:thumbup:

What "Wolf" said... +1

Coming here to ask your question was a great start!!! I read a lot of great info on here and hogcult then I started turning over rocks for what I was looking for. Oddly enough the four blades I wanted I scored here in about a months time. The problem I have now is having found some new INFI that I probably don't need but I need...

Congrats on the score. Busse knives are just bad ass. Period. Now to get something fat and something thin. I think you would be all set. But it doesn't work like that, you will find knives that call your name. Soon you will be thinking about "Iron For Infi". It definately is a condition for which no cure is known. Enjoy the ride.

Also, you can still order a Muck LE directly from Busse. The ganza only lasts 10 days, so I think there is a day or two left.

Thin, convex edge, full flat grind. No choil, lots of belly. Gonna be epic!

how does this work bro ?

Welcome!

I have 4- and it's only been almost 2 years since my first one. But I do have a second CABS on it's way and a BossJack LE on order.

I have 3 blades that aren't Busse- the rest were sold for the INFI-addiction. So you're not alone.

Here' the quick version of my INFI addiction (I'm NOT on the road to recovery BTW.)

I started looking for a new hunting knife and heard that Busse's INFI was the best so I bought a user off the exchange- BATAC.
Liked it so much I ordered #2 from Busse for my cousin who was deploying overseas- SJTAC.
Third- I wanted a bigger bushcraft knife ended up with a NMSFNO off the exchange.
Fourth-really wanted a choil-less Busse- got a CABS. Used it on three deer last year and loved it. Even the swamp-frozen one didn't put up much of a fight.

On the way- on order:
Fifth- I liked the choil-lessness on the CABS so much I ordered a BJ-LE.
Then I figured I could have a "nice" set of choilless blades and found a second CABS (#6) so the BJ-LE wouldn't be lonely.

Best advice I can give- is if you see something currently available from the company store or direct from Busse and it fills your needs, get it. It can be cheaper to buy direct than to try and get an older and/or more rare model. Also, I'm glad to see you're not afraid of buying a user. They work just fine, and they are always under warranty from Busse. If you want, you can even send in your tired Busses to the "Spa" to have them freshened up a bit.

Like Al-Sheikh said- as the addiction grows plan on spending money for pants. Lots of good guys here, and on the Busse site, can make them to fit your needs.

This is the support group for talking about your INFI-addiction. We're here 24/7 to make it worse. Or is that better? ;)

Definitely need to get some sort of battle mistress in your collection.

My 2 favorites are FBM and NMFBM.

Man the Hog Cult website is killin' me. I see a divorce on the horizon. :(

God forbid, But if you happen to be forced down this road, remember one thing: agree to give her anything she asks for except for your INFI......"for all else is dust and air"-Maximus

Well my first Busse arrived the other day. It is a battle worn Boss Street with about 75% of the black coating left. I stripped it and aside from about 1/32" of the very tip missing I can honestly say that this is one $%^er f*&ker of a knife. WOW! It has taken a top spot over my Sebenzas, Striders and the like. And I haven't even held another Busse....

yet. :D
