Getting the Ritter/Becker out on the trail

Awesome shots bro. I always look forward to pics from your outings, next time do more scenery shots too :) . I love the look of that blade, the shape really appeals to me as does the grind, and it looks great with the micarta.

Mist, your compliments are always appreciated. I can't compare to the awesome shots you take, and I'm still learning this Panasonic Lumix point and shoot that my wife got me for Christmas. It does take some nice outdoor shots though.

I was too focused on playing with my new blade and didn't take many pics :) But we are having some really great weather so there will be more!

Took the MK2 on another hike, actually a really fun full day hike. There was lots of different types of wood and plant material to cut here. I took a lot of in use shots but they aren't showing up :confused: (still getting used to this camera, me not 2 smrt! :o )

Anyway, I really enjoyed using it with the Micarta. The slightly thinner profile seems to fit my hand perfectly, and the weight feels just about how it felt stock with the brass weights in. For being a 6" blade, it chops pretty decent. At least it can do any chopping that I would need to do. Great in hand for carving, really lively feeling and not heavy. If there's an outdoor or "wilderness survival" situation that this knife can't handle, I guess I'd be screwed anyway!

This is the only knife pic that managed to download. With another cutting tool I've been testing out

Thanks for sharing that review and photos. I love to see it next to the BK2, maybe someone else who owns both could post some. :D
