Hey guys. I have been getting back into making blades, and i have gotten a taste of san mai. I made a few and i loved it, and i wanted to try making some san mai with wrought iron. There is only one issue with this, which is that i live in Los Angeles and there is not a scrap of wrought for 500 miles. Does anyone know anyone in LA who might have wrought and be willing to sell or could be able to suggest a way of getting some? Thanks a ton guys.

Aldo has old wrought iron. He's on the East coast but he will send it to you.

Just to clarify, Aldo Bruno is the owner and proprietor of New Jersey Steel Baron. I didn't know he had wrought iron but it doesn't surprise me. If he does it is not listed with his standard products, which doesn't surprise me either. That's why it is suggested to just call him. He and his business are well thought of and my experience with him has been great as well.

Sure you can say Marc Aldrich sent you! I got my wrought iron from him. It's 200 year old ship chain. I believe he still has a bunch of it.

He's always on the phone or in the shop managing orders. If you don't get him when you call, wait a while and try again. He has a small shop and he's very busy but you will eventually get him.

I knew people on this forum were helpful, but my god guys. You rock. Is this what people on the east coast are like?
