he is an older retired man and more then a tad looking like santa
his shop burned down reacently and some how he got a shop up and running again
i become aware of his knives some thing like two years ago - at least on buck knives
he uses coin silver and no two are the same!
some of his designs are flights of fantisy some a tad moren traditional
he gives a signed hand writen explenation of each knife
and that is the only COA you get...
Clydezs has a number of his knives ask and he may show them off..
the first i noticed Ghostown some ofn the knives sold as low as 120
on some of his knives now you are luicky if you can stay in the bidding at 300!!! ...
his work looks great!
wish i had bought some early on!
Looks like I missed another thread. Dave's got some good info that he passed on to you. I believe Ghostown's craftsmanship is superb. I might be wrong here but I remember when he used to work through a dealer but now a lot of his work appears directly on e-bay. I think I was pretty lucky to have acquired a few auto conversions which he 'spruced up' with his craftsmanship. The more recent Buck's I've seen of his work have included 'jewelling' of the blade along with his use of old fifty cent silver work. The latest Ghostown 110 that I'm aware of went for over $525 on e-bay.
WHEW!They don't come any nicer than those.I think there is only a few in the world of knifemaking and customizing with his skills.beautys for sure!!!!!thanks for sharing.
Those are really beautiful but too rich for my blood (or wallet). The most expensive 110 I have is the Bob Timberlake from Cabellas. It was $269 or so.
