GI Cruci-Fix

A number of Christians have already said that they find nothing sacreligious or inappropriate about this. The thing that some may find hard to understand is that modern Christians do no venerate things or symbols.

The cross is not an end in itself. It is a "symbol"; a representation, something that points to a greater reality beyond itself.

As for it functioning as sort of mark for your faith, a true believer of Chrisitianity (or any religion for that matter) should be marked more in his day-to-day dealings and character rather than just mere external symbols. Since Ryan M. has said he a "faith-filled person" does not intend malice, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

The "finger pointing at the moon" musn't distract us from the the greater sight and glory of the moon itself.

As I'm not familiar with this, what about the images of JC? The Christmas manger scenes or his body on the cross? If I drew horns and glasses on him on a cross, would the modernists not be upset?
