Will, a couple of things for you.
First, I was wondering what steel was used in the GI pocket knives. I've been issued several over the years and am curious.
Second, I've been looking for a knife to replace the current USN pilot's survival knife. I don't think that the 1095 steel and leather handle will hold up well once dunked in saltwater. I know the Navy has looked at Mission Knifes (I'm guessing the Ti ones) as a replacement. Do you think offering the Navy a talonite knife would be a good choise?
I know your just getting into talonite, just wanted to plant the seed. A campanion in talonite might make a good replacement.
