Gibbs is in my hands,Nice..A little better mfg than a cuda maxx IMO, for example the laser cut marks on the cuda maxx blades are polished on the Gibbs blade. The finish on the handles seems better done IMO than on the other 4 cuda maxxs, I have owned.
Excellent lock up,blade is centered and very sharp...overall an excellent knife.I only had 1 problem and that was 1 screw on the carry cip was only screwed in half way,no big deal.Oh yea this is a LARGE FOLDER,It fits in the front pocket of levi type jeans but not the back pocket.
Overall I think... This is a very cool design, that is very well made.Who is this D.Ralph ? And why is he such a genius at knife design I wish I could afford a custom D.Ralph.
Nonbox, that groove running down the center of a blade is not a "blood groove" but a "fuller".* Its purpose is to lighten an otherwise heavy blade. It also is said to give some strength to the blade in the same sense that corrugating aluminum sheet gives it greater strength. Forgive me if I have some doubts about that latter claim.
