The Giedymin Ko Katana is a little less than a year old, and was ordered directly from Giedymin Kapuscinski. This is made from 6150 steel and is DLC coated. The 22” blade is full height ground and has a gentle backsweep. It has a nice springy temper. The edge to tip transition is fully curved with no transition. There is a long swedge cut into the spine to reduce weight. This swedge widens as it approaches the tip, giving the tip a very robust cross-section. The removable handles are solid black G10 and have 9.5” of grip space behind the guard.
This is in pristine condition, never having been used and the kydex has no rubbing or friction at all. A very light, well balanced, and aggressive piece that feels a lot more like a real katana than a clunky tactical one.
Comes with kydex sheath as shown. Will also include a black fabric sword bag and a blue carry bag with zippered compartments and carry strap.
