Gift for a dear friend *Even more peanut pics added*

Great story, great idea and a great knife.

She can be really happy such friends like you :)

Kind regards
Andi

Thanks. I'm hoping to get it to her soon. I'm helping her move so if I can get her to stand still long enough before then, I'll give it to her then. I don't think she even realized how much she'd have to get done before she left. But it was short notice. Can't turn down a scholarship though. :)

She liked it. She liked all the stuff I gave her tonight. After she looked at the knife and commented on how nice it looked I told her to open the small blade for the engraving.
She said she didn't even know that could be done. She commented at it was no bigger than her chap stick and that she could always carry it. Then she dropped it in her pocket. :)

I found out throught these years that girls actually like knives, as long as they are non threatening.
A little off topic, but when I started living with my fiancé she was scared using "lute sharpened" kitchen knives, after some years poor me if the knife doesn't slice tomato by only touching it :):)
Regards
Mateo.

I've met some that really like knives and some that are apathetic and a few that are creeped out by them.
This friend happens to like them. I gave her the peanut because she liked mine and she won't be able to carry the Busse Skeleton Key I gave her years ago in some of the places she'll be going. Well, not that she can't, just that others will see the peanut differently than they'll see a fixed blade.

Excellent gift idea!
The bone is disappointing for me too. WAY too light.

Yeah, the pic online where I bought it was darker. She liked it though. That's the main point. She generally shies away from pink things and I was worried that the red kind of ventured into the pink realm. Especially along the edges. The only other red bone knife they had was CV and while we knife afis may like CV, I didn't want her to have to worry about it that much.
But all that matters is she liked it and hopefully it will serve her well.
