Logan1 sent me this great khuk. It's been sitting at the post office for more than a month, but somehow we missed the package notices or something. Anyway, the pic doesn't do it justice whatsoever-wonderfully crafted and razor sharp. I'll try to get better pics outside soon. This is the best I could do tonight with my minimal photography skills. Thanks Logan!

The handle is beautiful. Doesn't show up at all in the pic, but it's whorled through with gray. Just a beautiful little knife.

Josh; you think about being in the right place at the right time? You got the knife about the same time you came back to the forum-

Josh be careful with the whorled handles. They *are* beautiful but they tend to crack worse than the full black handles. But it appears that this is an older khukuri and if it indeed is and it hasn't cracked by now it's probably fine. :D
Just wanted to make you and everyone else aware of the very desirable mottled horn handles.

I have two with the whorled/mottled grey handles and they are both flawed. One is my GS and the other the Sun, Moon, and Stars I bought from Mary Slate that belonged to Rusty.
And Rusty's hasn't got much of the grey in at all, mostly just a little spot maybe 1/4 inch or so.:(

That's Sgt. Khadkas work for sure. He specializes in grey or white / black whorled horn on his stuff when he uses horn. Very nice little knife.

The good Sgt Khadka makes the best handles. Not only the special horn he often finds (which may not be best for hardworking blades), but the fit and attention to detail. I've got one from a while back that only the special-run YCSs rival for a stunning handle, definitely a showpiece. And it's better in person than my pics: Pic 1 Pic 2
