Beautiful carpet knife and number 2 looks a bit like a chambered nautilus when its closed. Exquisite in its eccentricity.
I must avert my eyes. I can't have more of these. AND HE KEEPS POSTING MORE

When Gigi is not forging he takes car of his heaven. A big garden where he planted many fruit trees. His fig trees are so productive that he has to look for people to offer his fruit to.

I’m curious, is there a story or reason behind this engraving pattern often seen on the bolsters of mostly (I believe) Sardinian knives?

It always reminds me of the stitches on a baseball.

I'm not sure there is a meaning of the special engraving . I can only say that it's made with a special tool and it's not easy at all .
