Just joined and my first post. Hope this is the right place for it. If not, let me know. Don't want to start out on the wrong foot!

This is my Gil Hibben Hollow Handle Survival Knife, along with a Blossom Blade, that I have had for a while. It is one of my favorites in my modest collection of fixed blades and folders. I look forward to posting other knives that I own for comment and review and also seeing great knives from other's collections. Thanks.

Very Cool, made in my back yard, essentially. Btw, welcome to blade forums. Lots of knowledgeable, generous, excellent folks here. Hope you swing by the porch sometime. Stay Sharp!
 
Thanks so much for the comments, the interest, and the welcome. It is a massive knife with a 10" blade and 15" overall length. It came with a well worn sheath that was not the original one, the Blossom Blade, and an old EZE Lap Diamond M brass sharpening rod. I've had it for a few years and got it in a trade that involved an older NIB Cold Steel Trailmaster, some folders, and an amount of cash that I can't recall exactly how much, but I think was $150.00? It does have a 2-83 production date on the blade. The only other one like this that I have seen was in the Arizona Custom Knives website, with a Blossom Blade, that sold in November, 2022, for $1745.00. It had a production date of 3-83. One of my grandsons has it eye on it when I leave this world. Thanks again.

Welcome to the forum. I love your Hibben knife. I have on of these ez laps I use it all the time, it a good field sharpener.
Speaking of oler classics; here my Ralph Bone kit knife. It was in bad shape when I got it. After a bunch of work it looks better.RBone5.jpegRalphbone kit.JPG

I lusted after that knife as a kid! 😁

I seem to recall the split saw back being advertised to be used to break barbed wire. 🤔 Could be wrong, but that’s what I remember.
