Up for sale are two folders made by Gilles, the owner and operator of Fontenille Pataud in France. These are both older versions, indicated by the signature on the reverse side of blade. Current version are marked on the "front" side. Both have been handled in an out of a case but never used or sharpened. Current versions of similar knives from Gilles run around $700+ USD.

Laguiole design $450 $425 $400 now $350 shipped

Yssingeaux design $475 $425 now $375 shipped

First is a Laguiole-style blade - long and thin. Damascus blade (type unknown) with horn handle and shepards cross pins. Spine is fully chased with the classic Bee at the front bolster. Overall length is 4-5/8 inches closed. Length of blade is 3-3/4 inches from leading edge of bolster. Handle is 7/8 inches across at the widest point. Slipjoint action - the spring is very strong. Nominal marks on the nickel bosters. Tiny black spots on blade were there when I aquired the knife. Has been treated regularly with Ren wax.
