40 mins of snoozing at the wheel is too much Dennis! That is some kind of beautiful Allan!

Great get Dennis!

Trust me folks .... this has to literally be a case of unreal luck. As I told Alan, my daughter is visiting from Ohio. Decided I would change her oil/filter for her. Had just finished and got cleaned up. For some reason, decided to do a quick check before anything else. Saw it (as you can see) one minute after Alan posted pics of the knife. Over the top. I thought the last one he did (take a look at his facebook page) with Sambar stag scales was out of this world. Now this one! Boy oh boy! Just when you thought Alan put out his best work ... another one comes along to top it!! How is that even possible?!

Wowza that's nice! Look @ that time stamp, I've looked at this section probably 20 times today. Next ones mine!

You should sell me one out of your collection to make some room for this one:D

Nice work Alan. That back spacer is amazing! Btw, I just picked up another one of your folders on the secondary market.

Your support and recognition of Alan's work is really cool.

Having a collection of his work like you do, that support, has played a role in helping him get to the level he is at.

There is what's 'popular' and then there are a makers like Alan.

Their work is second to none. The fit, finish, and materials of his work rivals anything out there at any price. (Yes, I have said this before)

Without makers like Alan, who follow no 'trend' but continue to push the envelope and put out extremely good work, I doubt I would be in this hobby at the custom level.....

Alan is now the only knife maker from whom I would buy a knife sight unseen (as long as I knew what materials were used ... as I am not so much of a fan of G10 and similar materials unless really unique) and be certain I would love the knife. Yup, that's how much I admire his work. As a matter of fact, last year, I sent him a block of redwood burl and told him that whenever he had time ... go wild with it and make me something. Told him I don't even want to see pics of it when it is ready. Whenever my time comes up on that one, there is no doubt in my mind I will be blown away!

I actually got into his books with a ton of (pathetic) begging....!

It will be my second knife from Alan, and not the last, but I am fairly certain that he is the only maker that I will own multiple knives from.

The design part is done, time for me to be patient!

The one thing I know, when that knife is finished, it will be the best knife I will ever own.

Alan, you've turned the corner from knife maker to artist/knife maker with more emphasis on artist that knife maker. Or is it the other

way around?

As I said a while ago, the sky's the limit with you're knives and you keep getting closer and closer with each folder you make!!!:)

I known I am beating this to death (sorry) but I think Alan is already there....

His knives are the best blend of old and new available.

If I was to describe his style with one word, it would be 'American'

His knives are new American classic...if that makes sense.

Yes, I am a big fanboy, but hey, what can I do, his work kicks ass!
