While rumaging through my attic t'other day, I found my grandmother's old Girl Scout knife, probably from the 30's. The only identifying marks are the Girl Scout Crest and:

"KUTMASTER
UTICA, NY
U.S.A."

Can anyone tell me something about this knife? Who is/was KUTMASTER? Is it worth much? Anything you know would be appreciated.

That sounds like a Bernard Levine question!

I've got a daughter in Brownies so I took a look at the girl scout knives at eBay. There have been quite a few Kutmasters over and most auctions have pictures. I'd recommend searching the completed auctions for "girl scout knife" to get a rough idea of the value. If I were you I'd keep it since it was your grandmother's knife. Good luck. -Alan

Keep the knife. Its value on the market in mint condition is only somewhere around $30-80. If your grandmother held on to it this long its worth holding on to.

Thanks guys. It is in quite good condition. And I wouldn't sell it anyway, I just wanted to know how safe I should keep it.
