I want to get my girl a knife just for every day sort of stuff and was wondering what sort of blade other got there women I was thinking a spyderco delica or some thing like that what do you think?

I bought my wife a pink ESEE Izula and she loves it. It's small enough for her to keep in her purse. She loves it. Or so she tells me ;)

This is kinda the best girl knife ive found, i like to give women i know knives, and tthe best by far is the spyderco dragonfly tattoo http://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details.php?product=443

Its small and cute and wickedly sharp. just an all around great knfie and it streets at around 60 bucks including shipping. they are just wonderful tools that can be appreciated by anyone and she can fit it into the tiny pockets in fashionable womens clothing or in a super small fashion purse that holds nothing more than a wallet and a cell phone.

If you want to go cheaper i recommend the crkt k.i.s.s or h.u.g they are also small cute and relativley reliable and they are called hugs and kisses no brainer not the wonderful tool that the spyderco is but they will still open a plastic clam shell package

If your looking for a defensive knife id reccomend the Hideaway knife it was desgined by a woman for women after an unfortunate situation she was involved in.

and its custom made to each womans hand and a great utility blade as well http://www.hideawayknife.com/main.php

good luck

A Delica 4 FFG would be great. They're light, sharp and non-threatening. Plus they come in "pretty" colors like purple and pink.

Interested in the conversation here. I've been thinking about setting my gf up with a small EDC knife (2.5" maybe) that would be small and easy to keep in her purse, yet still a very usable knife. I feel like a simple and safe lock, clean aesthetic, and good ergonomics are important points (and in my case, not too expensive, because she will lose her first one, guaranteed)

Thanks for. The suggestions I like the dragonfly I think she would like it to the hidaway is realy cool but id rather she use her pepper spray she isn't trained to used a knife and I don't think she would be confadent with it but like I said very cool idea

It really depends on your girlfriend. The most logical thing to do is show her a selection of knives within your price range and let her choose one for herself. If she's already a knife-person and you're looking to surprise her with a gift, maybe look to the Kershaw Leek. Lots of different colours/options with the Leek...

Good luck!

Spyderco Dragonfly. I got her a white one. Now I'm thinking about getting her a ZDP-189 version or the Tattoo version. She's really partial to her pink Strider PT though.

There are those small colourful Leathermans (forgot the name), or a compact SAK with some girl-friendly functionalities.

My wife is no knife person. With that said she likes to steal my protech TR3 and keeps my M16-14.

Unless she is already into knives I'd recommend a SAK. They are inexpensive, easy to maintain and very corrosion resistant. Even more important, they are multifunctional and people friendly. I think those last two points are important for non-knife people adjusting to carrying a knife. I know a lot of women that will simply forget a knife is in their purse. The more reasons she has to use it (screwdrivers, bottle opener, nail file) the more it will grow on her. Something like an Alox Cadet or Super Tinker could work very well for her.

I gave my daughter a Spyderco Dragonfly Tattoo ,she clips it on her jeans pocket when she leaves work. This knife is a great choice for any Lady that likes knives. It has a cool looking design , its small enough to carry everyday, and the VG 10 will stay sharp.

I took my GF to a knife store and she picked a BM 530sbk and LM Micra. She loves the thinness and light weight of the BM, and the scissors on the Micra.

Kershaw rainbow leek. it is shiny, addictive to open and close, and generally a ton of fun to play with.
