Now that I shaped the handle, I go ahead and hand sand it to 320 grit
then I use my super special finishing tool. A dremel with progressively finer scotchbrite chucked into it.
After that it is really smooth, but just not quite right.
So, to make it look "quite right", we coat it with at least 6 coats of thin super glue, sand that to 600 grit, and buff it. this brings out the true colors, gives it a tough finish, and a great shine. I did a fresh post with the whole knife here, take a look at it.
