Hi everbody.
Well, I just want to thank everyone for making this a pretty cool place to visit, and to learn.
Please feel free to enter your name in the giveaway, if you wish? post a photo of a Traditional slippy...thats why we are here to have a looksee :)

Ok...please correct me if I am wrong, but I am thinking that this would be a 70's? era BUCK CREEK WHITLER, made in Solingen, Germany.
I think that this is a nice little knife, a solidly built knife, nice even walk and talk-finished by a very respectable snap!
The scales are Yellow Composite, and are see-through, Bolsters are N/S.
On the main clip blade..there is still a faint etch with WHITLER in the center of the fancy design, and underneath in very faint etching..HAND MADE.
Neat shield too!

The three blades are in nice condition, and this is where I fail sometimes...the blades have the oldish patina-although not grey, and its hard to determine whether they are SS or Carbon, I have tried the vinegar trick, but all I have is malt vinegar..if that works the same?...I left a pool of Vinegar on the blade for a wee while with no real effect...this tells me SS.
The knife has NO issues.

I hope you like the knife, and I certainly hope you think its nice enough to slip in your pocket, as I think it is a nicely built knife.
Please forgive the photos, I must leave for a week, and the photos have been rushed, my apologies, as they just dont do the knife justice realy.
I will log in a few times if I get time hopefully while Im away, lets give it till the 15th of this month.
Have fun, and go for it.
Thank you everyone.

Please count me in. I don't own a whitler, and would love to try one. Thank you for your generosity.

Here is a pic of a couple of my Schrades. One is a Schrade Walden, the other is a regular Schrade USA.

Thanks for the generous offer, Duncan.

I like the knife and would be proud to carry it. That said, I have won recently and would prefer that someone else get a chance.
I just wanted to raise my glass in toast to you for your generosity.
