Hey everyone,
I was cleaning up my shop today and found a bunch of stuff i don't need.
First off, we have some 1095 annealed and i also have a 4x10 piece of 52100 that I can't find but may include it if i can manage to find it.
I also have a blade from my last batch of knives which i believe is 52100 that if perfectly fine but needs to be finished and now that i have a waterjet batch of folders and fixed blades, i don't really want to do it.
Just for fun i also have a 1/2" by 6" piece of Titanium that is probably worth some money but might be fun to forge if you have a forge.
Last but not least, I have some little aluminum corby bolts that i never used but you could try them out.
(all as seen below)
Next up we have two books, one is on folders and the other is by the infamous Wayne goddard, ($50 knife shop) and i'm including some sandpaper just for laughs.
And last but not least, I have some handle material: purple heart, canary wood, rose wood, red wood, yellow heart and some others.
If i find extra stuff to give away I will add it as we go along.
This should be enough to get you started on a knife or two and I would gladly offer to heat treat the 1095 for you but i don't have a forge. If another knife maker with a forge would volunteer to take the HT part I would be much obliged and would even pay for it for the winner of the giveaway.
The only rules i have, you must be a novice knife maker and must have at least 20 posts on blade forums.
I will cover shipping on this but if it goes over $20 i will ask you to pay for half of shipping....(i'm already giving away some pretty expensive stuff)
I will let it run for a week and use a random number generator to pick a winner.
All you have to do is post "i'm in". If you post pictures of your current knives, I will give you two entries.
Have fun with it and lets make some newbies day with all this awesome stuff!!!
