Thrillbilly, yeah I cracked up when I saw yours without the middle screw the otherday. Another funny thing: I've posted alot of pics like that here but on the ESEE forums I was busted for it in under 5 minutes....lol. I actually lost one and now I'm just borrowing them from the other Tweeners as needed... I don't put all the screws in before pressing either.

LOL, I think people either dont notice or more likely just know why we dont have all 3 in, God knows I always have a ''screw loose''


What scales do u run on them when ur using them? I am partial to wood scales myself. Or if I do have the zytel/grivory I have them stippled and dont want to make a sheath on it, the stippling transfers to the kydex.

I wish KaBar would send an extra set of hardware with the extra scales... I have also lost a couple, I have spares though.

Still looking for SS hardware in the Tweener size.


As to the OP.....the 17 is STILL a great choice LOL


Lemme know how you want yours modded Naughty, I'm assuming ''red and shiny'' is what you were thinking?
 
Pardon Me....(drooling) WOW. So freaking sexy. You know when a woman can't decide what shoes to buy cause she wants them all? Yep...so me with these freaking beauties. I think I'm going to be happy with the 17. Seems like a really ummm...user friendly knife. Wow...really...does that even sound right. "Oh gee you won't chop off your finger to quick with this knife cause it's...USER FRIENDLY! " UGH.

DJG...Must get naked! The coating just feels so strange. Now I understand you aren't suppose to be really feeling on a knife like that cause it's kinda pervy and strange, but it does feel weird. Must have nudity! Can't wait to see pictures after the bath. (oh wow. can i say that?)

Thanks, appreciated. Love taking photos. That first photo was taken at Natural Bridge State Park, and the other 2 were taken in the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky. The hotter it is the faster/better the stripper works. I stripped my first 2 with snow on the ground...took over an hour and I had to do a lot of sanding for stubborn spots. When it's hot the coating will fall off almost 100% in 15 minutes LOL

Actually, this pimped-out 17 has found a new home in NW FL -- with a non-Beckerhead!

Naw. Thrill is a really good guy and will treat you right. Now if you WANT a red -17 in the future, you know the place to go...

I disagree with the part in red.

And I have some white Corian coming in just because of that ''Gambler17''. I remember seeing pics of it awhile back. I aint sure if I want stag or the white....I may make them bolt-on and have both sets depending on my mood.
 
I need to figure out how to clean these up... However I added liners to my 17 today... I need longer screws
