Give it to me dirty!

That is very impressive guys.. and the powder coating (or whatever that it) seem to be really strong on the RCs

yeah i think it is very tough, like i said i use my izula like everyday, and it looks new, minus writing decoloration.

Here's my hiking load out that I take with my boys. Trying to train them and myself in bushcraft. Traded into this RC-5 and it's split some wood for sure. 10yr old lit his first fire with no match and batoned some. Basically no coating left from the jimp forward.

I feel ya.. i took out my lil RC3mil to cut a soda can to make an alcohol stove and already scratched the coating, i didnt bought the RCs to look at them so i dont care that much, but my point is, i can see how long (not much) its gonna take me to really bruise the coating on them..

My next wilderness expedition is in 2 weeks.. its the turn of the RC5 and RC3 to come with me.. too much RCs.. i gotta choose and do a rotation :)

wow.. that is dirty indeed.. Talk about using a knife! I wonder how well it cut as it is in the picture .

I will get some pic's of mine going.

I think you new ESEE users, will find that the coating is a bit tougher to wear down than you might expect, at least i have more respect for it than most coatings out there now.

And if ya'll havn't tried one of these, for field sharpening, I have fallen back in love with an old victorinox steel i use to use, its about 3.5 inches long and 3-4 mm thick on the rod. If the sheath is the only way to get one, i still say its a deal. It sharpens all my ESEE(rat) knives now.
