#36--CUTS LIKE A KRIS--looks like this one's staying in canada boys. Congrats and thanks all for joining in, loved every picture.

i've been hanging around here a long time now. just started adding posts and talking in the last few months really i guess. i've taken a lot of knowledge from this forum, and since starting to post my gear and pics from life i've had some great responses.
i see all you showing off with your 1 millionth post giveaways and such haha, and thought i'd have a more humble 100th post giveaway.
recently while getting into a boat with my full pack on (70l capacity) i bent forward and lost some stuff out of the top pocket (which i had not zipped closed apparently.)
items saved-
tiable A1
wallet
moore maker stockman

items lost
Buck 110
scout firesteel
BLUE vic farmer....
suunto compass

gone into the deep blue. made me think about losing gear and having only what's on me and around my neck. everyone should have a necker...the trip was great, i posted some pics already, and have some reviews to cover this weekend. (bug jackets, snupak rocketpak, breeden bushcrafter, 2 bruce culberson customs)

As a thank you and as a way to buy your friendship i'm offering up one of two identical knives i have.
crumps forge necker(steelshaper on BF)
glow in the dark handles! (like g-11)
leather neck sheath.
i have two colors, orange (lightly used) and spankin' new one in more or a off white, greeny, jade type color (i'll get pics up sometime)

Post a picture of your old beat up but forever reliable knife. i'll pick a post number at random and she's all yours!
they're in the bottom right of this picture, you pick the color you want!

Great idea for a give away
I just retired a old slip joint I had carried for a few years not too long ago, I'll pull it out of the safe and edited in a pic of it.

(also no need to buy friendship, ;) check your user cp)

Cool contest, and congrats on 100.

Heres my used and abused Schrade 8OT. One of my oldest, and definatly one of my favorite pocket knives.

Thanks - great idea!

Here's my entry - my trusty BK1, aka the "Brute" :D

I don't know how many pieces of wood this knife chopped and split, but it always asks for more

In the folder department, this Boker still sees quite a lot of use on the weekends:

Thanks again and good luck all

Bench made cqc 7, was a tanto point at one time and I had to redo the handle as all of the screws stripped out.

Very cool! I'll sit the contest out(I've got to work on using the stuff I've got already), but I'm all for being your buddy. :)

Here's my 34-year-old Schrade Stockman, purchased new in 1975 when I was in school.

Like your Buck 110 and blue Vic Farmer, it too was lost to the deep blue, but by great luck and unusual circumstance, was recovered a couple of years later. After a crust of rust was knocked off and the knife cleaned up, it seemed almost unharmed except for the darkening and slight rust etching of the blades.

My old, beat up, but forever reliable knife is a Gerber Mark I that I bought when I was in the Air Force around 1980. I carried that knife in my boot everyday until I retired in 2005. It went with me to several foreign countries including Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

I beat the knife to death and the only real damage is the broken tip. I hammered it through frozen meat, opened cans with it, dug fire pits, and even decapitated a 6' Rattle Snake with it.

I will post a picture tomorrow night when I get home, I'm out of town right now.

The 2 things I cherish and had my entire 20+ years in the Corps.
Trusty Kabar & John Wayne.

Here's my old Case that was my first knife. My uncle got it for me for my birthday a few decades ago. I carried it all over, learned to keep it sharp and it has been a nice companion.

Thanks for the chance !

Great responses guys. We all love our new toys, and it's fun to see them tested out at first. but to me there's nothing like seeing these time tested pieces of steel. i might have to do some more giveaways just to keep seeing the pics i want haha.
keep'em coming.
Bigmo66- that is a great pic, thanks for sharing.
powernoodle- nice 110, makes me miss mine. i'll have to replace that quick and beat it up, they don't look right shiney.
pitdog- message sent.

This little guy tags along most everywhere.
