I'm in. Thanks for the opportunity.

I recently used my EDC to strip wire. I didn't think it was doable but it worked (a bit messier then I would've like but still).

In, Please.

Had to use my Spyderco Police to cut a birthday cake, since we forgot to bring the kitchen knife with us.

I'm sure it was my fault....

I'm in

Recently gave my grandsons popsicles. Noticed the sticks when they finished and started carving them with my pen knife. Made a couple of flat lizard and a little rifle. My daughter frowned on the rifle.

Oh man! Those little Bees are adorable!

I encourage everyone to enter this. I won a knife in another JIN kit giveaway, and I was really sold on the concept. It was a lot of fun, the kit had everything (including a screwdriver and oil) that you needed to get the knife assembled. My daughter and I really had fun doing it together as a mini-project.

A recent example of an unexpected use of my knife was at a friend's wedding. The wedding was in a remote campground hours from the nearest store, and no one remembered to bring a knife to cut the wedding cake. The bride (who is a coworker) knew I always had a knife, so she immediately told her friend to ask me. So my walnut handled Lone Wolf T2 ended up being the knife in all the wedding cake photos.

This a rather disturbing one,
I let a close friend use a backup Ram pickup while his was getting worked on. He had the truck for nearly 3 weeks.
I got the truck back and about 2 weeks latter I used it to run some errands. I dropped the tailgate and there was a folding knife. It was a Kershaw
I picked it up and opened it, thinking this has to be Ben’s knife. I ended up putting it in the door of the pickup and forgot all about it
A few weeks went by and I was at Ben’s house And I remembered the knife. We were outside with 6-8 other guys and girls. So I tossed it to him, he looked at it and immediately he tossed it back to me.
He said you remember we were on the phone when I borrowed the Ram….and I told you I got sick and had to let you go, I said yup I remember
He was speaking loud and everyone was listening, he said well I had to use that knife to cut my underwear off cause I crapped myself. I tossed it back to him saying there ain’t no way in hell I want that

And latter that night he put it back in the bed of my truck which I had no idea he did.
A day or so latter my nephew was with me we were out going to a few stores, my nephew seen the knife in the back of my truck. He yelled at me knowing that I wouldn’t leave a knife in a place like that
I gave him the knife and told him a few months latter how i acquired it.
He didn’t care and still carry’s it to this day.

Beware of the things you find, cause you never know where they’ve been ;)

Thank you so much for the kind words! It’s fantastic to know you and your daughter enjoyed the kit. That’s exactly the kind of experience we hoped to create.
Also thank you for sharing your awesome story, knife always gets you prepared!

I don't think it was your fault.
If you didn't have the pocket knife, things would have only gotten worse.😂

Even if it was a bit messy, it's great to hear your EDC got the job done. Thanks for sharing!

How creative kids can get with knives! Thank you for sharing!

Oh wow, that’s a bit wild, but true—beware of mystery finds. Thanks for sharing!

In please, I have an XM-18 gen 4 (pre triway) that didn’t seem to flip well. I tried adjusting the pivot to where there was barely no blade play and I still couldn’t flip it well. I made sure it was lubed up nicely and still no cigar.
The Gathering was right around the corner so I figured I’d take it and ask Rick to have a look.

So I did, explained to Mr. Hinderer what my situation was. He grabs it, checks for blade play, flips it open 5-10 perfectly every time and says, there’s nothing wrong with it and hands it back to me.

Of course all I could do is say thank you Rick, with my head down and walk away shamefully that I had not developed the strength in my finger to flip this knife open properly.

I now have this finger well trained. 😊

Thanks for the GAW, very kind of you.

Andre.

I’m in! Years ago, I bought a new Benchmade Griptilian shortly after venturing into $100+ dollar knives. One day at work I finally got an opportunity to use my new Griptilian for the first time. It appeared to be a simple task of cutting through some tape on one of our machines, but I didn’t notice the piece of aluminum hidden behind the tape. My new Griptilian now had an ugly flat spot on the cutting edge.

Oh boy. I feel many of us have several.

One I go to a lot. (Still use this tactic). It started back in Jr. High. I had braces. I wish to the higher power I maintained them better. Braces weren’t the problem. They were glued to my teeth. That darn retainer was the issue. I had lost it for a while. When I finally found it (YES I WASHED IT! Like 3 times!) it just didn’t fit right. Soo being the stubborn poop-head I was. I didn’t wear it. Teeth pretty much went back how they were.

Back to the knives! Most toothpicks are too thick. And I don’t want to carry around those floss picks. So when we go out to eat. If I get something in my teeth I’ll cut a portion of the straw off (when I’m done) and then cut that portion in half (vertically) creating a soft “U” shape. And that thin plastic usually works like a champ. And is flexible enough to get between my teeth.

Once I was out with my parents and they saw this tactic in use. Mom rolled her eyes. And dad said “hey! That’s pretty smart!”

I’m in!

The first time i used a knife to split wood.
It was urgently needed and didn’t know it was possible. I didn’t baton but chopped at it until it split. It was a basic buck 119.

Where do I go to just buy any em......Do tell.....pretty please....😉
Definitely need a blue and a.pink for little niece and nephew (2 & 4) who ask me twice a day at least to hold my knife......

Hi there! You can email me jinknifekits@gmail.com, I will send links right away. But, would they be too young to handle a knife? 😂 Thank you for your interest and support!

Thanks..... A wee bit of caution but most handling done while.closed or sheathed...
Well...I must say, the Chubbee looks prettier while closed, as the antenna flipper will show up, and it looks more like a chubby bee.😄
G10 bladed knife kit has rounded tip, still, it is better under parents' supervision. 😎

I am in, thank you!! I love unique looks and this knife has a very special look. Reminds me of something Spyderco might do.

My manager/friend (knew him prior to being hired) once asked for a knife, I pull out my Spyderco Advocate and hand it to him, beautiful Ti knife. He compliments it and goes off to use it. Already a little nervous as I didn't ask what for, I see him go for our rolly-cart for wares and start scraping the bottom for lint! I was nervous as all get out when watching, he returned it and I examine the edge, thank God it was all good!!
