Anyone know of a good, web-based random number generator? It's Monday night, 8:46pm and as promised I'm going to pick a winner.

I'm going to input all the numbers into Excel, sort them by number, and then generate the winning number. The closest to the winning number will get the knife. Good luck to all, and please be patient. My Excel skills are a tad slow.

Surprise, Google taught me Excel has a random number generator. Let's see if I can get the formula correct for a number between 1 and 1000.

OK, the official Excel-generated lucky number is 939!

By my reconing, 952 is the closest number, just 13 away from the actual number.

That means Kdarmy is the winner!! Congratulations Kdarmy, and thanks to all of you for participating. I really enjoyed being able to give away something here on a forum that has given me so much. This is a great place to learn and to make friends.

BTW, it was interesting to input all your guesses. So many of them were either calibers or firearm model numbers. I suppose I can guess second hobbies for many of you. I just realized that 952 is one of my favorite S&W pistol model numbers--mine racks like it's on needle bearings.
