so im gonna give this micarta thing a try, i have 2 different kinds im gonna try. first is the blue jean, im gonna alternate each piece, 3 front ways and 3 inside out ways, for some reason there is a color difference maybe due to wear?

the next im gonna try are some multi colored wool sweaters with a pattern one them. i mean there is paper and linnen why couldnt wool work? any ever try this????

any comments/suggestions before i try this?
is it sutiable to use auto body fiberglass resign? approx. how much is required for each block 2''x10'' 3/8'' ?

will the auto body fiberglass resign take a nice shine?

I have heard that the resin will turn yellow, epoxy would be the best choice. Keep us updated!

on ariel salaverra's web site he has a tutorial about using odd materials such as blue jean material. he makes some awesome knives. he says to use polyester resin. im not sure if thats whats in auto resin or not. i would like to know.i have seen auto resin turn yellow,but its always been applied with the fibre glass. so im not sure if it will yellow just plain resin or not.anybody know for sure?.....willy

I made some of jeans sat. night and will check it today. for 22 pieces of jeans, it takes
