Giving a knife to spouse

My girlfriend was with me when I bought my Bm 556 mini-grip. I couldnt decide if I wanted the OD green with the partial serrated blade or the plain edge in black handels. I ended up chosing the PE knife. As we were leaving the store, she said next time we were there she was going to buy the OD green Mini-grip because she liked the way it looked. Sure enough, next weekend I went down and bought it for her. We eventually swapped handels and she now carries a Black on black PS mini grip. I can tell she uses it because when I look at it, you can see cut marks. That totally makes me smile. I've even noticed she carries it in her Coach purse or her bag everyday!

My wife says "another one?" and looks disinterested when I explain things to her (pros and cons compared to currently owned knives) but I bought her a Spyderco DragonFly and she loves it. It stays on her keyring and gets used a lot.
I also bought her a Van Hoy SnapFire (with the cool colouring) and that one stays in her purse and she likes that one too.

Am I the only one who has figured out how to make your women love knives...jeesh !!

It's so easy...at least in my house, here's how it works.
Busse = new couch
Emerson= chair
AG Russell = recliner
J.A Harkins = dining room set or small car...lol :-)

My Fiancee was very fearful of knives and guns........Good thing she met me!;)
It took a couple of years, (surprisingly, she came around faster on the guns than the knives) but now she is really interested in my collections. I even bought her first knife for her a couple of months ago....A SOG Flash I Rainbow. She loves it and carries it everyday. She also has her concealed carry permit and her own Sig Sauer.
It's a double edged sword though. I may go broke buying knives and guns for two now, but at least she let's me buy anything I want.:D

My wife likes knives so much that when I tell her she has to pick 1 of 2 knives-she usually says I like them both.

Bad side--my knife bills doubled.

Good side: I get to use hers as well...and she is receptive to me getting more

:)

and she is HOT...

My wife's EDC had been a Vic classic for years, but last month I gave her this:

Ebony_Au_Diamonds_640.jpg

The ebony inlay reminds her of our daughter's piano playing, and she REALLY likes diamonds. It goes very nicely with her Coach purse . . .

My 13 year old daughter's EDC is a pink Vic classic. It will be a while (high school graduation?) before I trust her to not lose something like an mnandi.

My wife sees the practical aspect of knives. She EDC's a BM folder, or a Pirhanna auto, or a Buck Rush or a Camillus Heat. When we camp, she carries a CS Trailmaster.

My wife is practical above all, certainly no knifenut. She always has the little pink SAK I gave her years ago, and usually can dig a CRKT Bear Claw out of her purse in no time.

And when we go for a stroll in the woods, woe betide me if she finds out that I don't have a serious fixed blade on me. She usually asks me if I'm "bladed".

The car had better have a Cold Steel shovel, a 'hawk of some sort, and a big fixed blade or I have some 'splaining to do.

How about an Amazon whose EDC is a machette...now that's an interesting prospect, Xena warrior princess style.
