Well,
I have found a reason to like kydex :)
Well - actually 2

1 - Its way thinner than leather and stiffer for pocket carry reasons ie. poking into leg :)

2 - I can do a much better job than before!!

Here is my neck sheath + pocket sheath + can be belt sheath :D

Good job on the sheath. I prefer leather but kydex definitely has its place. Good lookin knife too.

That's a beautiful little knife and sheath.

I pocket carry my Izula sometimes.
Often you can pop a knife out with your thumb and leave the sheath in the pocket. But generally I run a loop of paracord from a sheath grommet to the nearest belt loop. That way you can always get the knife out just by pulling on the handle.

I've seen some folks reccomend a few wraps of cord around the sheath too. They say it creates some friction which keeps it oriented better in the pocket.

Very very cool! What are the specs on that? I've been looking at getting a new necker for my bag/kit.

If you truly want it for pocket carry, you can put a little 90 degree ramp at the mouth of it. It will allow you to rest your thumb on it and push the sheath off as you pull the knife out. Otherwise, you are going to do the two handed pocket pull thing. Otherwise known as the pee pee dance :D

I carried a Glock 27 like that for a long time, and the thumb ramp was a very cool feature.

This one is 3/32" D2 with OD micarta. 6" overall. Stews away super easily.

very nice set up! I,ve always liked the smaller knives.

Are you taking any orders on the knife and sheath set up ?

Hi Bones. Not able to take orders for the knives at this time. Still way backed up. I will have these at the blade show in Atlanta next year for sure. Email me if you want to Bones.

Brian , not a fan of kydex but that little knife is as beautiful as usual :) ( You made a knife for me a few years ago , it never fails to impress those lucky enough to see it )

Looks great Brian. I prefer kydex for pocket carry either back pocket or most of the time in the side tool pocket of my carpenter pants.

Looking good

Sometimes I like Kydex more, sometime leather. It depends on what the situation calls for.

Great looking knife Brian. I personally don't like pocket carry for a fixed blade but I've made a few of them for customers. A lot of people like them. You can also make it so the sheath clips on the inside of the front pocket like a folder.

Never really considered pocket carry for my FBs. Usually tried to have the sheath horizontally attach to the back of my belt. That way no one would see it if I wore a coat or an untucked shirt. I like these ideas though, def. worth looking into. Thanks for the tips.

Very nice knife:thumbup: I really like these small/mid size knives.

I love pocket carry. But I do love leather too. I carry this 6 1/2" OAL JK/Sharpshooter Sheath combo every day in my back pocket, or in my cargo pocket. (the firesteel pocket is made for a LMF Army, but holds the Scout well with a sliver of fatwood stuffed in too)
