I do my best not to just do this thing at a certain time of year but since it's coming up I thought it appropriate. I'm an annoying douchebag from time to time (all the time?) but for some reason there have been a couple people that believe in me and there are no words for how much I appreciate it.

Casinostocks Casinostocks has listened to every whiney thing that has come across my mind and patted me on the back and asked how my next sheath is coming. There are no words for how much that dude's friendship has meant to me. He is quite literally the best thing to happen to me since I came across this knife buying bug.

@gusbuster Like I've said before, I was ready to quit the leather thing and just keep buying Nathan's awesome knives, you and Mat were literally the only things that kept me slogging on with this work. Thank you very much.

Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist , Jo the Machinist Jo the Machinist , and @CPK Mark thank you so much for making these badass knives! I don't like making stuff for knives I don't like. It is a joy to be able to make pretty pants for the material you put out. I wish I had the time to make Nate's dragon sheath a hundred times over, especially after seeing his reaction. Jo's picture made my year.

@betzner , @ManOfSteel89 , @woodysone , @91bravo , @abbydaddy , @Ghostwalker54 , @Skrapmetal , @chiral.grolim just to name a few. Thank you so much for taking a chance on my work. And all the other guys with orders in, thank you! I will do my best not to disappoint.

No pats on the back wanted here, but if you want to give a shout out to someone that has done you right this is the place to embarrass them. :D Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

OK, now that I'm not driving and have had a chance to type on a real keyboard instead of my iPhone, I would also like to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to:

First of all, Jo the Machinist Jo the Machinist because IMHO Jo is the super-strength-glue which holds this all together. This is not just a platitude, but a FACT. In no way I wish to undermine or diminish the superb efforts, craftsmanship, thoughts, designs, R&D and production processes which Nathan, Jo, Lorien and Mark go through, but if Mrs. Jo doesn't persevere and stay on top of all the going ons, we would not be getting our fantastic CPK patterns as fast and smoothly as we do.

I am also thankful for the fact that we have a very friendly and tightly knit group of great guys & gals on here. The selflessness always shines through by someone from here to help out our newer brethren and everyone who has become a regular conducts himself / herself with a very high code of ethics around here.

Naming names individually sucks because I always forget to mention someone, specially when I win Oscars :D... But like to pay homage to certain few in no particular order:

Hard Knocks Hard Knocks , Dave extended a hand of friendship when I was a newbie on another subforum and directed me in the right direction back when

JustinFournier JustinFournier , or Lil Bro as I call him. Back in the day when I first heard of Nathan Carothers LC, Justin gave me some really good tips as to how to score during Nathan's Fridays sale and May 27th, 2016 became my baptism ;) Thereafter, Justin also counseled me on as to why it was a better choice to stay with CPK as opposed to another brand we were both into. I'm one of those one brand loyalty kinda guys so I'm glad that his advice put my on the right course for me

@Brian77 , for putting up with my PITA text message as he was getting ready for Blade and also baby-sitting my desires in order for me to land that ever so elusive first and minty fresh Shiv. Thereafter, when Brian entertained the idea of offering me the CPK grail which I was so badly lusting after, he would never be able to shake me off now :D

@betzner , Bob has very graciously given me so much of his time and has also been absolutely instrumental in terms of me scoring and landing some tough to get CPK patterns. My friendship with Bob has afforded me a wealth of information and knowledge about these patterns which I have fallen in love with. His passion for Nathan's work has also ignited my passion and curiosity for Nathan's work. Thank you very much Bob

grogimus grogimus , last but not certainly not least! Just out of the blue and out of nowhere I get a PM from Grog that he wanted to offer me a GAW sheath for no good reason really, other than the fact that I always gave him a very good ribbing and deservedly so! In return he just wanted my true and honest opinion. When I received that sheath, I saw a lot of potential in Grog's work which he was just doing as a hobby at the time. I remember that I gave him my number back in the day but I never heard from him till at least 2 months or so later! I kid you not! The guy played more hard to get than any woman I had given my number to in the past :D Sometimes we text back and forth just BS'ing till the wee hours (I'm 2 hours behind his time ) sometimes I LOL as Grog has me in stitches with his nonsense and sometimes we talk about real stuff, and anywhere in between. He is the other Lil Bro, but a bit older than the baby Bro ;) Ah, did I mention that he makes kick-ass sheaths too? His workmanship has come along greatly and he is never short of ideas. Just buy that darn sewing machine and put pedal to metal

P.S. I haven't forgotten about you TommyGun56 TommyGun56 , but I just ran out of my Internet ink to say nice things about you :D :D :D

P.P.S. again to the rest of my CPK brethren, apologies again if I did not directly mention you BUT thanks so much for being such an awesome and supporting group of people

Thanksgiving is the only holiday we try to celebrate as a family, both the Canadian and American one since we’re both.

I’m not gonna go into naming names cause damn if I don’t hurt feeling but I’m always trying to figure out how I can do better for the people in my life. I’m not gonna be awake long enough to list everything I’m thankful for cause I’m thankful for everything.

I’m thankful for the good times that I enjoy, the bad times that remind me how good the good is.

The awesome group of regulars here, and the dipsticks who make the regulars stand out.

Nathan, Jo and their kids, family can be the why. Mark for making CPK better.

My kids, my family, my job, health, home, vehicle, the internet, Bladeforums and everything.

Man I love life. We have it good, don’t we?

Mat, feel free to praise me, I have some extra Internet ink if you need it:(

Something nice about you? Oh boy, I'll have to reach deep down into my trick bag now! OK, you've got exquisite taste in knives and I dig your collection :D

Our Carl wasn't famous, but he was interesting. :)

Jo, thank you for elaborating as we were wondering as to what the heck Nathan had blurted! Tell him from me that Net Neutrality has not been reversed yet so he can afford to post a few more enlightening words rather than cryptic clues!

I personally dread the day that we get charged by how much we turn on the Internet spigot as someone as bloviating as Uncle Matty will soon find himself in the poor house! :D

I probably talk too much. ;)

I’m not gonna go into naming names....

I would also forget someone if I tried to name them all, but I appreciate the thread, so that I can say thank you to anyone I've visited with behind the scenes and the many folks that have graciously helped me out in my time here. Very sincerely, thank you.

Man a lot has happened in a year and a half, huh bud? Glad to count you as a friend Mat.

I probably talk too much. ;)

Never sister!!! :)

It's really cool that the Carothers have a forum now for enthusiasts. I've never been able to make it to BladeShow and so it used to be that you had to glean anything you could by following Nathan's posts around the rest of the forum. Or maybe you'd see who was chasing their blades by who showed up at the bottom of the page in a sales thread. So as to not be too sappy, I'll leave it at this......I appreciate those who make the blades, the place we have here to hang out, and also the good folks that it attracts to their brand. Happy Thanksgiving all.

Dave

I have much to be thankful for and have been truly blessed. I also am grateful for Nathan, Jo, Mark and Lorien and many here who have been so helpful. It really is a great group and the best place on BF to hang out. Thanks all!!
