My girlfriend is pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) at UW and part of her class requires her to keep a weekly "Gratitude Journal" that we work on together. Every week, we both jot down 5 things that we are grateful for in our lives, regardless if we consider them big or small, then read it aloud to each other. It has really opened our eyes to how much we have in life, and how much we take for granted. It is such a good practice, and has really made us both more self-aware to the bounty of goodness still left in the world (if you take the time to appreciate it).
I would suggest/recommend EVERYONE start doing this as well - it takes 10 minutes a week and can really help if you struggle with stress/depression/anxiety (as I do) and start appreciating the smaller/finer things in life.
On this topic - I would like to say that I am thankful to Kyle (@ManOfSteel89) for introducing me to CPK blades - he has always lauded them as practical workhorses that are backed by some of the greatest/most-talented folks in the industry. It took me a few months to get my hands on one, but I'm glad I did!
Nate, Jo, Mark and Lorien - You are all very hardworking and dedicated to your craft. I truly appreciate all the insight, humor, hands-on testing, communication, advice and diligence as you continue to grow/expand your business. It has truly been a pleasure anytime I have had correspondence with you all, and I feel glad to be supporting your business and family(ies).
CPK (sub)Forumites: You guys are awesome, and a little eccentric at times (which I love!
). A wealth of knowledge, advice, glorious drool-worthy photos, constructive feedback and a general sense of comradery not found in other areas of this site. Like @Shark01 said above, this is the best place on BF to hang out! I feel pretty privileged to be a part of this community!
