Giving the Talwar One More Shot

Carry my XL Talwar as EDC. The 5.5" XHP blade has a thin edge profile and wicked sharp. Blade shape makes it a great slicer. Stabs well too. The long handle gives an extra 1"-2" of reach depending on where you grip making this effectively a 6-8" SD blade. I can wave from my side pocket as well as my back pocket for fast deployment. Great for utility work as well.

Here is a pic of my Talwar. like it a lot but cant decide if i prefer it more than the Recon 1. Both are larger than i would prefer.

Just received my OD green/DLC in CTSXHP. Been looking at the Talwar a long time but was worried it may be somewhat uncomfortable in the pocket. Its great! Easier carry than a Recon 1, noticeably lighter too. XL gloves make me look like O.J. trying to put them on but i love the handle. Plus the wave feature is cool. The blade is thinner than i imagined, which i love, this thing is a slicer. May go back for a tan model

I got my Talwar in from BladeHQ and it is really impressive.
F&F is spot on, ergonomics are nice for me, for its size it is super light, and like all my other CS knives this came shaving sharp out the box.

Now this is my first CS with the thumb plate and I'm wondering why they don't use this on more models?
It is a great design and works well as manual or wave opening out the pocket.

The closest knife I have to this design is a Spyderco Persian and I never carried it much cause it was not very smooth to open.
For whatever reason the Talwar is a lot smoother, I think the Persian looks better but the Talwar is better suited for my use.

I really want to carry this but I'm liking the Lawman so much I think I'll stay with that for a bit longer.
Or I may rotate them out and see how that is.
