yes its often hard to grasp what others are going thru. Thank you for your contribution to this sharpening issue.

Wow, thats one hell of a story. Hope ZT patches it up for ya!

I really want to try this out. I just sharpened by Leatherman in 154CM with no problems on a carborundum stone!
 
yep, i have had great user experience with 154CM in my 7 Emersons. I was quite surprised when i tried over and over and over to get some sort of edge on th ZT.
 
Its easy with the emersons because they are a couple points softer than most others 154.

:( I should have offered to replace it for you as a trade. That would have been interesting to have a knife that hard to sharpen. LOL!
