I have used the first one i bought from "Gurkha-ji" to clear the brush blocking the trail to my water box. It cut through better than any chopper i have used. I think it has to do with the curve of the blade allows more force to be generated. They are heavy so not suitable for long packs, but for short trips like to my water box, or in an ATV or truck you cannot get a better chopper for even 4 times this price.
Definitely biggest bang for the buck among big knives.
