This dagger was based on the profile of the Gladius sword, although it's much more modern in construction. This is the first one, but I will be making more shortly.
The blade is a full 1 1/2" wide, with a point similar to the Gladius. Despite the width, it pierces very well - thanks to the deep hollow grinds (both sides) and super sharp edge. The balance is slightly handle heavy and feels great.
It includes a leather belt sheath which, thanks to some careful welt fitting and forming, has great retention. The belt loop stitching is recessed in a groove on the inside of the sheath to keep it safe from the sharp blade.

  • 4 1/2" blade, 9" overall
  • 3/16" thick 154CM; Paul Bos h.t. at 58-60rc
  • Hand sculpted Black and grey G-10 scales
  • 4-40 Torx fasteners
  • 8-9 oz. weight black leather belt sheath

thats darn good work.

Now if you produced one like this with say an 11 inch blade.............:D

 The larger version would make a nice companion to the smaller one. I am definitely interested in one of those.

That is just plain wicked. Really like the blade shape, sort of a leaf shape, and the handle looks great.

Wonderful job. A pair, short and long, would be really cool too.
