David, please explain "punked out" - is it like being a convicted felon or something to that effect?

Tim Tang is one of the most ethical and honest folks in the knife/ gear business. Calling him a "bad owner" deserves something of an explanation.

Sorry to jump the thread, but can someone either explain or point me to where I can find out what everyone's talking about w/Maxpedition? Seems to be good stuff...is there a political angle somewhere? Thanks.

Bump for Mr Brown's goods. :)

I personally am awaiting such an explanation as well - as the slight/ insinuation has been made publicly here, I ask for my answer here as well.

I belive that the issue has to do with this Maxpedition fellow and others having tried to cripple a competitor by dragging personal information and posting it all over the internet. This was done specifically in a manner and with such content and in a pre meditated way so as to try and damage his business. - It did not work. But the actions are considered underhanded and dishonorable by many.

Like Mr. Brown said "good product bad business practice" in the eyes of many.

Hmmm? Please elaborate - that's a pretty specific example lacking specifics and again offers/ insinuates without any specific proof.

Again, are the principals of Maxpedition guilty of this specific transgression and if so, perhaps Mr. Brown or someone else would care to specifically point this out to us here, rather than offer underhanded and unsustantiated claims as to the ownership of Maxpedition and his/ their character?

And again, "punked out?" - is this a reference to Mr. Tang committing a felony or is there another reference someone wishes to put forward here, perhaps even clearly? To put it another way, if the product was being built and sold by someone of less than outstanding character and you wish to dump it, why sell it for full retail?

Check over on USN, there's a thread on the specifics.

also check badlandsforums.com

parker even though Im new here.....do people normally antagonize someone on a forsale thread?

and as for your comment on mr. brown selling his maxpedition bag for full retail....what gives? maybe he is just trying to re-coup what he has into it....

Mr. Jhillas, USN decided many moons ago I did not fit in with their view of the knife world. I objected to a key member referring to a friend's wife in a rather profane and derogatory manner.

Counter-offer: How about sending me the thread via email? I am sure that the specifics would bear the light of day, and since Maxpedition has a rather substantial share of the tactical bag/ pack market, I would be very interested in knowing the specifics. If your suggestion has merit, I would be obligated to post this information here, or more specifically at GBU.

I am not antagonizing anyone here. I am asking for clarification on a specific claim of Maxpedition being held with bad ownership. It speaks volumes to make such a statement and then offer NO EXPLANATION REQUIRED.

I am pleased the Maxpedition sold. I would wish you got your asking price. You don't owe me an explanation, but pretty frankly it's odd to make such a declaration and then walk away when asked to clarify such a blanket statement.

As to your link, I read it several times. In fact, I read it prior to posting. I was merely asking a couple questions, which you have deigned not to anwswer. You are well within your rights. I am well within mine.

Mr. Brown, you have my apology regarding the price of the bag - I paid $55 shipped and insured to Maxpedition when I bought my last one.

This would have been fine enough.

This is not necessary.

Ken, since throughout this conversation I have asked for spcificity, I thought it best if I provided my own.

After all, informed clarity provides the best view, don't you agree?

Thanks Ken

Parker, will you please listen to the moderator ?

I suggest you seek your specificity through personal email. This is not the place for it. You have succeeded in doing nothing more than stir the pot regarding a very touchy subject and hijacking this thread. You are lucky that you did not ruin David's chance of selling his item. Gold Members selling there items on this site should be free to sell what they wish for how much they wish without others scrutinizing their sale. I'm sure you would be upset if he did the same to you. He would be in his rights to lodge a complaint to the moderator of this forum about your behavior in his thread. The link I directed you to is a policy set by Spark. Rules are set for a reason. Please follow them.

***And for the record...I do not mod this forum but I felt that as a moderator and a long standing member on BFC I could not sit by and watch David's thread deteriorate into crap because someone needed "clarification". It would not have been fair to him or any other member of this forum who wants to sell here.

Parker,

I strongly suggest that you stay out of people's For Sale threads unless it is your intention to buy the item that they have listed for sale.

"Brand new (ordered it before they punked out) Good Bags - Bad Owner

David,

Was that really necessary in your "For Sale" post to help sell your item?

I'm closing this one down, since David posted another for sale thread for his Gladius flashlight.
