Awesome Eric. that is almost just like mine except mine is black, no integral dagger, and the inlay is shaped a little different. its definitely my all-time favorite sheath of any kind. wish I could get it out more. not very public-friendly!

man there is some seriously sexy leather and kydex in this thread. all of the sheaths are killer. nice stuff.

Knife hunters got all the cool stuff!!

Sweet thread, they all look so good it makes me sad I got rid of my gladius :(

Wow, the Rainwalker Sheath is simply amazing! I hope to have one of his sheaths someday for a yet to be discovered grail! Back in Dec I picked up a Gladius...LOVE IT...really want a custom satin one someday, with handle scales made out of alien bone or something equally cool. Anyway, IMO, Leather is beutiful, but Kydex rules for the field... Leather for grails, kydex for users is my theory... So, I was waiting for kydex right after I got it...and I happened to have some rather unwelcome living companions at the time...so I decided to hide in a shop as much as possible to make prison shanks and shivs (that's the most appropriate description of my knives)...well, I decided to throw together a sheath for Gladius. I resisted posting it in response to this thread to avoid the humiliation considering the ultra fine skilled products displayed here by the Rainwalker, Chuddy, Leatherman, etc... But, what the hell, humility is a good thing... I call it the gay biker bar sheath considering all the Chicago screws, rivets, and such... thinking maybe I should replace some of the shiny bling with hand stitching...but, I was thinking Gladiator...and metal fastening seemed appropriate at the time. Please keep the laughter and finger pointing to a minimum. Yes, I was drunk. I always drink when I work with power tools... but, I do wear safety glasses at least half the time... I'll send you this sheath free for a knife Garth...

Drunk sheath making, that sounds fun. Don't be so hard on yourself. I could do horrible things attempting to make a sheath and that would be if i was sober. Thanks for sharing.

I like it Rhino! It shows some original thinking in some of the design, and that is well worth a compliment. :)

Polish comes with time and practice, and your well on the way!
