Yeah, that happened. :p

Many have asked for this vid... Now you know how prone to suggestion we are!

Stick with it to the end. It's hilarious. No booze was involved, promise. :D

Awesome work!! I feel your pain. Sometimes trees just don't want to drop. No matter how hard you swing and chop, you just can't seem to get anywhere. But you got there in the end, and it looks like it was great fun too!

that was some serious work lol. good video. I especially like the laughs I heard coming from the wifey unit :)

Enjoyed the video. I like the stripped blade. Glad your wife mentioned that it is gel, I wouldn't have known. You two make a great team. Keep the vids coming :)

I have to admit, I'm jealous. My wife would never play camera man for me on something like that... you're a lucky man!

Very cool, you are a monster :)

Love the sheaths :)

how does it chop compared to the b11?

The Gladius and the B11 aren't exactly in the same class as far as length, weight, or technique. I think the best answer to your question is "different."

Have you held both? When you do, you'll see. He wore the B11 in the vid just in case we wanted to shoot something else, but the Texas state birds were trying to eat us alive. How all these mosquitoes got up here, I don't know!

the gladius to me was always more of a fighting weapon. Its not going to chop like an axe. Im sure its a better tool to mess up a car than to chop a tree as well. good effort on that tree.

I enjoyed the video Tim but I was feeling for you towards the end ... loads of effort there mate ... the damn thing just would'nt go !!

The Gladius and other Busse swords never appeal to me as much as they do to others ... but you certainly gave that one a good work out !!

Good one

Hmm.

I wonder how he'd do with one in each hand?:)

Not that I'm advocating that!! The chances of an inadvertent leg-chop would rise just a bit too high, in my opinion.

Awesome job finishing off the fir brutha!

Now didnt you make fun of me for being able to get both hands on the handle of my glad?:p

;):D

I think I recall being guilty of that...:o but I may have just been jealous as it would have made it a lot easier for me if both of mine did. That fat butt beat the heck out of my middle knuckles, even with those insulated gloves on. :(

The pommel on the Gladius would be painful ! Can't help but think it is the wrong tool for that type of job ...

If it were me I would thin out and sharpen up the Zilla you have ... the reprofile work radically increases performance ... they don't dull much either once sharpened up if all you do is chop wood ... I can send you over my altered KZII to have a play with if you like ... the rear pommel is gone and the blade has been thinned down and altered on profile ... so your sized hands ought to be able to make the most of the longer grip on this ... but the grip IMO would benefit from being took off and a bespoke one done to try and capture the shape of the TTKZ ... although the blade profile could serve as a reference point should you fancy thinning down the NTTKZ you have ... provided ofcourse you think there is a benefit to be had after comparing them. :)
