I went for a hike earlier today, while I was out I figured I'd take some shots glamour shots!!!

I have been using a Nikon D50, but it takes up so much space in my pack. I went out and got a Pentax Optio Z10. I have to say I'm fairly happy with it. The pictures aren't as good, but I can live with them....

Wow, those are glamour shots....it doesn't like either one of those has even buttered toast. :D

They are pretty much brand new. Altough I have actually used both including some work with a baton. I clean them up afterwards though. They were not used today on my hike.

Wow, those are some really nice shots. You should add it to the flickr thing esee has going on

Great pics! How do you like the Desert Tan color of your RC3? I'm looking to add a new knife to the family and that color turns me on more every time I see it.

I like it a lot. The canvas micarta handles are nice, and the color is a little easier to see in the woods and around camp. Overall though I think I like the linen micarta scales on the standard model just a little bit more.

You just had to show a beauty shot of the RC-3 tan, didn't you?
Now I gotta get that one too !! I just recently pulled for another black 4 ( coming tomorrow) , but the 3 keeps knocking on my door !! :D

I've been here a while, and whenever I saw posts of people asking ," what knife should I get to do this or that," an Esee fan would pipe up and say, " get the rc-3 or rc-4, or 6, or whatever." I thought " wtf, are these guys talking about?"

Now as a multiple Esee owner, I've seen the practicality, solid construction, no bs warranty , awesome sheaths , great steel and heat treat these knives have.

Now I know how you guys feel, because I feel the same way about them too.

Awesome pics there Mr. !

That is the truth! Might as well just buy them all and get it out of the way. I like the Desert Tan because it is much easier to see @ camp or in the woods. Go get one right away! You will be glad you did! It's only $ anyway. Only thing it's good for is spending on knives and gear!!!

What camera were you using?

It is a Pentax Optio Z10. I have a Nikon D50 I usually use but it's so big, so I bought the little Pentax and I am pretty impressed. Not as good as the Nikon but it actually does a better job with the greens which is important when most of the pictures I take are in the out of doors.........

show the beauty of it after it lost its newlywed glow.

This is what it looked like after the first few bow drill sets, and some batoning in fatwood. Damn that coating is tough...it has some scratches in it but none have made it to the steel yet.

Mistwalker,

Your scales look so green..
Are they that green in person as well? I know the desert tan ones are supposed to be green, but mine just don't seem to be. In your picture though they look really green.
Is that just from more use?

I believe that is just from more use.

Mistwalker: What all tasks do you do in the wilderness that the serrations specifically help/provide advantages? Thanks
