Glass bead blasted my 25.

Tried applying a filter to a couple of pics. Still not sure if they are accurate, but I'm posting them since I took them. :D

Warranty voided or not, you did nice work on the scales! Do you have any before pictures?

Oh, forgot to address that question.

No, no good before pics. They had the usual wear marks and the clip had what looked like a scuff, but in reality was just a light rub mark.

I bead blasted my 25 as well. I really like the finish it leaves. And the best part is, it takes only a couple minutes. You don't have to wait a month to get it back..

Here are some before and after pictures for those interested. The Umnumzaan has been glass bead blasted @ 60 psi and the large Sebenza has the factory finish.

Great job! But I'm the opposite. I love the way my Sebenza looks after two years of use in my pocket, etc. The scuffs and wear marks have a wonderful patina I think.

Looks good!
I hope you protected the contact areas(Pivot hole, washer area, Locking bar).

Not sure who you are speaking to, but in my knives case I simply hit the outside of the scales. I covered the ceramic ball and lock pin.

It's really no big deal. I imagine someone could screw something up if they were careless or if their equipment is not set up right, using crazy pressure with improper media or something.

I'll be doing it with every ti knife I get from now on. I really like it. :)
