Not too many BF members have had threads that actually make me feel hesitant to deal with them. Though Glenn's pissing match with Jerry gave that feeling, everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt...

Fri 8/24
Glenn Paypals the amount agreed upon for the knife.

Mon 8/27
Knife is mailed to Glenn.

Wed 8/29
Knife is received by Glenn; I login Weds night to find an email from Glenn saying the knife will be returned and an email from Paypal saying THE PAYMENT HAS BEEN IMMEDIATELY RESCINDED.

I respond; "No problem...send it back."

Glenn responds; "I will go tomorrow........sorry for the inconvenience."

Fri 9/7
No knife, I email Glenn; "Thought you might want to know that I still haven't recieved the knife back. Could you update me on the status please?"

I receive from Glenn; "It went early this week via USPS Priority. Please let me know if it doesn't show tomorrow. Let's see 5 days across town, and sometimes overnight across the country.......I love the Post Office!"

Tues 9/11
Knife arrives, mailed 9/10. The knife is now loose to the point the blade shakes and the scales can be felt to shift when the blade is released.

I email Glenn; "I got the knife back.

I don't appreciate that you sent it yesterday and I don't appreciate that you took it apart."

I received from Glenn; "I received a notice on Saturday that there was something at the PO, and it was your knife. I went to pick it up, and I reshipped it immediately. I did not disassemble the knife at all. The knife would not fully open when I received it, and it seems that after I tried opening it 3-4 times, it loosened up to the point that it is now. I would never open a knife that I knew was not in proper condition within 2 minutes of inspecting it."

Huhh??

Received on Saturday?

Reshipped immediately??

Loosened after 3-4 openings???

I despise liers, and I hate seeing a fun and honest knife collector like Jerry getting shat on by a person such as this.

YMMV

Michael the Chef is 100%. Lot"s of trades between us never a problem. I will be backing Michael in this deal. No way he would send a knife with any problem. So you know we are not related and have never met. We have traded or bought and sold enough knives to buy a nice truck.
The man is flat out honest.

Glad to be home and happy yall are all ok.
The weather is getting cooler, take a kid fishing.

IMHO, there is no better person to deal with on this forum, or any other for that matter, than Michael, aka Chefget! He's honest to a fault and couldn't be a better member of 'our community'. This fellow should have picked someone else to hose down; namely somebody not affiliated with the small, tightly-knit, world of custom knives!!! What a jerk..........:barf:
