Glennbad is a baaaad man

Here's another one, more of a Frankenknife. Started out life as a utility pattern, turned it into this:

It's a bit of a mutt, really. However, looks like it will be pretty handy for cutting and tackling the occasional beverage cap!
If only I could afford you
That's pretty much ...the perfect EDC I think. Especially if it was a sheepsfoot blade

Man the beerlows never appealed
Wonder why this one does so much

I just received this GEC #86, and my jaw is still on the floor. 😍

This knife was a gift from my friend Paul ( Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 ). He was pretty sure I'd like the #86 Barlow, but knew I don't carry knives with bone covers -- so he sent it to Glenn to be re-covered in my choice of materials. I picked the prince of woods, ebony, and asked Glenn to round off the butt like the factory micarta version (as opposed to the more "squared-off" but on the factory bone version).

This is the top of the heap for me, a true treasure. Thank you, Paul and Glenn, for making this one happen!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hopefully these pictures capture at least a fraction of how gorgeous this knife is!

What an amazing gift. That knife is absolutely stunning.

Been working on a new batch of customer knives, pics to come soon when they are done. In the meantime, I had this one on the bench. It's an early piece from a custom maker that I had bought some time back.. I loved the knife, but didn't carry it a whole lot. The handles were Koa, I believe. While doing some CE & CF through my customs drawer, I sadly discovered that the Koa must have shrunk or failed somehow, and was cracked. What to do???? Why, mod it of course, it wasn't very useful in the current condition. I decided to keep it a shadow pattern and just chose some stag for it (what else would I have chosen, LOL)

Here's some before and after pics...

I will definitely be carrying this one more now!
